This book was nonetheless well-crafted in terms of the technical aspects with one major irritation--the goddess Megelien screams her every line (her words are in all capital messages). I devoured the first three books in this series and loved them. They were excellent fantasy books with a touch of romance but the focus was on earth-building and the storyline. This book was still well-crafted in terms of the technical aspects with i major irritation--the goddess Megelien screams her every line (her words are in all capital letters). I sympathize it was an endeavour to brand that dialogue special, indicating that information technology was a conversation with Ralal's diety, but all caps was a bad format choice. Information technology's jarring. Eradisiel and the goddess the tree connects to don't yell in their communication then I don't understand the difference, but information technology served to annoy me in every scene that Megelien communicates in.
As well, there was more romance and characters making stupid choices considering they choose not to have an adult chat and react excessively to plot twists where the showtime three books felt like the characters were actually behaving like adults and reasoning instead of reacting. Hither, the globe aspects and characters are consistent with the starting time iii books in the serial but there'due south more than reacting instead of reasoning. It besides felt similar the romance was more dramatized and focused in this book instead of being a function of the story unfolding--forced instead of organic in the story, the sex scene was besides more explicit, not particularly erotic and, in my opinion, the volume would have been amend without the explicit scene and the usual romance novel tropes.
This one serves to consummate the storyline involving Kien, only information technology was a disappointment overall.
...moreThis one went p!aces I never Saw. My only complaint is that now I'm at Bethany Adams' mercy awaiting the next novel. The characters, worlds, and stories are so rich and beautifully conceived. I envy her the time she has spent among the Fae.
Oh My!This one went p!aces I never Saw. My merely complaint is that now I'one thousand at Bethany Adams' mercy awaiting the next novel. The characters, worlds, and stories are so rich and beautifully conceived. I envy her the fourth dimension she has spent among the Fae.
...moreThis book still, focuses on Ralan, who had already endeared himself every bit an amazing graphic symbol from the previous books, Kien is yet on the loose and needs to be shut downwards. Ralan has angered the goddess of sight so all he ever sees is his own painful and inevitable expiry. At that place is a level of acceptance until Cora appears on the scene. In that location is an immediate affinity between the two, having spent as much time on earth as each other in the past – merely in that location is more to it and in more ways than you would recollect. As has become a feature of the serial, we know that each book at present will be based around a soulbond, which I love! Merely for Ralan and Cora information technology is bloodshot and proves to exist i of the most shocking and standout moments of the series when the depth of their connection is revealed. I was left reeling after that scene which was so emotional and intense, I struggled to pick my jaw up off the floor. Eri continues to exist just ambrosial, and then much sight and force per unit area on 1 so young though. One of my favourite lines in the book sums her up so perfectly "When a six twelvemonth old seer with the touch of the goddess tells you to go save someone you practice it." I hope that she remains such an integral function to the serial in hereafter every bit great things tin can come from her.
This book also shows the start of a more than darker tone. Yes, at that place is still the wonderful less is more but yet paw fan worthy romance, just there is no shying away from the fact that there is bad stuff going down. The two meld so well together which adds to the pace and emotion in the words. Kien'south threat is real and dangerous and the story isn't tempered in that regard. It'south not often a book leaves me then speechless I struggle with writing a review simply I really have with this. There are lots of twists and storylines coming together only I don't desire to say more than for fear of spoilers, but the payoff in Seared is huge!
Seared is outstanding. If you have not read the series nevertheless I recommend you lot practise then right now! The depth of the earth building, the character development and the layers upon layers of amazing story telling make me want to give this half dozen stars and across if I could but for at present I give this a highly commended 5*
...moreI am actually enjoying this series. The writing is clean and engaging, the story original and imaginative, but one matter that disappoints me is that the reader is given the impression in the first volume that everyone has a soulbonded, but not everyone finds them, that finding the connection is rare and precious. Yet nearly every major character is finding them. That is the one aspect of the stories that disappoints me. It barely feels special anymore. Don't get me wr
When the uncommon becomes mutualI am really enjoying this series. The writing is make clean and engaging, the story original and imaginative, but one matter that disappoints me is that the reader is given the impression in the first volume that everyone has a soulbonded, merely non anybody finds them, that finding the connexion is rare and precious. Yet almost every major character is finding them. That is the i attribute of the stories that disappoints me. It barely feels special anymore. Don't get me wrong, though. I am loving the books.
...moreWell written characters, great adventure, excitement, edge of your seat battles with more of a merging with the original characters.
I cannot expect to read the next volume. The writer gets meliorate with each book.
This is the story of Prince Ralan and his bonded Cora. Guys. I thought I had this volume figured out. I'one thousand generally very adept at spotting plot twists from a mile away but there were quite a few that snuck upwards on me without warning.
Like I had to put the book down and pause for a second while my thoughts ran in the management of something like "Did that really but happen? For real? I didn't read that wrong?". Like I was actually shook! Its a
Oh my god, this was actually amazing. v/5 stars for sure!!!This is the story of Prince Ralan and his bonded Cora. Guys. I thought I had this book figured out. I'1000 generally very expert at spotting plot twists from a mile abroad but there were quite a few that snuck up on me without warning.
Like I had to put the book downwardly and pause for a second while my thoughts ran in the direction of something like "Did that really only happen? For real? I didn't read that wrong?". Like I was actually shook! Its actually been and then long since i've been surprised by a book of this sort which I found honestly refreshing.
The characters themselves were amazing!!! I actually liked Cora more Ralan in this one - which is wierd because I figured information technology would exist the other way around. Cora comes into our lives a wary even so self bodacious individual. She's scared because she'due south constantly looking over her shoulders and running from her demons but throughout the book, she changes from beingness a cornered and caged bird to this glorious pheonix (you'll see why when you read the book). Like can we all just take a moment to capeesh this girl'southward grapheme development?! I have no words. Its astounding how intricate and lifelike some of these characters are like.. and near the end with Ralan'south last battle with Kien and what she's able to do later his injury?! Yess Queeen!!! Pheonix indeed.
I'grand all the same wondering what that flash was. I am 99.99825% certain that it is foreshadowing for the future. And Eri. Eri is crawly. She's like a happy little bundle of energy, cuteness and raw power. I can't wait to meet what the futurity will bring for her with all the hints Ralan was dropping in this book and some of the others.
I can't await until Completeness comes out tardily May 2018!!!
...moreOn the audiobook: The narrators still annoy me with how inconsistent they are with accents for each grapheme. Pseudo-British accents come and go, a character may sound Southern with one narrator but not with the other, and it is bothersome.
...more thanThere was a tiny flake of repetition where something was brought upwardly by a character (their imperial groundwork) but the person they told later on expressed surprise at this fact. I event that was stressed (neutralize Kien's connectedness to Earth if you lot kill him) seemed to be ignored subsequently.
Typos: At that place'southward certainly a lot going on in book iv of the serial. It wraps many things up and involves a large cast of characters. It yet leaves enough unresolved and then at that place is enough of room for follow-up in sequels.
At that place was a tiny bit of repetition where something was brought upwards by a character (their royal groundwork) but the person they told later expressed surprise at this fact. One effect that was stressed (neutralize Kien's connection to Earth if you kill him) seemed to exist ignored later.
Typos: I read this in the Kindle books 1-4 collection. Pouring (equally a liquid) is used for poring (reading closely) in affiliate 1, and there were a few stray extra or missing small-scale words later in the volume.

This book brought together all of the characters we love, and well hate. (Alot.) And continued usa to them in an incredible mode. I felt the ending was perfectly wrapped up, with a pretty bow on top! I know there are more books in the series, which makes me super curious, merely I doubt I'll pick them
My favourite book of the series and then far! Which actually surprised me, considering it took me a lilliputian while to get into compared to the concluding. But the concluding few chapters? Damn. What an emotional rollercoaster! This book brought together all of the characters we beloved, and well hate. (Alot.) And connected united states to them in an incredible way. I felt the ending was perfectly wrapped upward, with a pretty bow on top! I know there are more books in the series, which makes me super curious, but I dubiousness I'll pick them upwardly for a while, because I could happily leave it hither and daydream nearly the rest. What a journey this series was!
...moreOnly as adept as the others. I couldn't end reading until the very last folio of the final volume in the series. Masterful character development and an intricate and riveting plot held me spellbound throughout the series. It would be interesting to run into how the lives of the 3 bonded couples progressed through the years
Loved this serial! But as proficient equally the others. I couldn't cease reading until the very concluding page of the final book in the serial. Masterful character development and an intricate and riveting plot held me spellbound throughout the serial. It would be interesting to see how the lives of the three bonded couples progressed through the years
...more thanLike it's predecessors this book is well written and hard to put downwardly. Seared mainly follows Ralan and Cora and shows that the time to come isn't e'er predictable even to seers. Only complaint I really have is the supposedly rare and precious finding of the soulbound doesn't seem so rare anymore.

...moreI beloved the elven world and how the story is fast paced and never lets up.
I felt the romance was far too fast for them just coming together and they do some odd things when their friends are supposed to be in danger. That being said I loved the conclusion and I'm sure this is non the cease of Kien.
Though I wasn't keen on the two main characters at starting time this book slowly started to grow on me.I love the elven world and how the story is fast paced and never lets upwards.
I felt the romance was far too fast for them just meeting and they do some odd things when their friends are supposed to be in danger. That being said I loved the determination and I'm sure this is non the end of Kien.
...more thanAt the beginning I was disappointed. Information technology felt like a different story. Midway through the story, everything started meeting and I finished the rest of the story in one day.
This is a continuation of a series, it does non require you to read the previous books only it would seriously enhance the story if you did. if you like magic, elves, Romance, and battles to the death then you might similar this story.
I enjoyed the standing adventue likewise as learning more nearly the characters. The description of the dissimilar lands is so well done you can see the place in your heed
These characters seem so enchanting. This writer created a whole new world(south). I love the thought, and the graphic symbol interaction. This had an interesting ending and I am excited to motion on the the next installment happy reading!
I really have a difficult time putting any of Bethany Adams books down. Again, only at cracking peril, good overcomes evil. The monster evil dies. New families come together. The take chances continues!
This is such an entertaining, colourful, lovely read. Thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the characters and the different worlds. The story, though lite, keeps you wanting more.
Information technology was so good to finally get to see this world from Ralan's perspective. Bethany Adams has a gift for making you lot empathise with pretty much anyone, provided they're good at their cadre, of form ;)
Actually enjoyed this book and I loved The Magic Bear on <3
Oh Ralan......It was so skilful to finally get to see this world from Ralan'due south perspective. Bethany Adams has a gift for making you empathize with pretty much anyone, provided they're good at their cadre, of course ;)

I dear that the story is moving forth nicely.Listening has me really confused on who is who at times. I call up if I were to be reading information technology I could put the names together ameliorate, merely then again if I were reading this I would gloss over the names b/c I'grand certain I couldn't pronounce them. And so.....
